Rayman Legends Retold Wins Best Switch 2 Game At Gamescom
Ubisoft's Rayman Legends Retold has scooped up a top prize ahead of its October launch. Per Nintendo Life, the platformer won the award for best Nintendo Switch 2 game at Gamescom 2026.
The remake beat out other upcoming titles, including Denshattack!, Mega Man: Dual Override, Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, and OPUS: Prism Peak.
The Rayman development team shared a statement, saying they were "extremely proud" of the win and thanked fans for their passion. The outlet notes the awards were decided by a jury of professionals and community votes.
Ubisoft also dropped a new trailer showing off a musical level set to the "Macarena." The clip invites players to "dive into the tunes of the Glade of Dreams" in what it calls a "pasta-powered twist" on the classic song.
Other winners at the show included Alien: Isolation 2 for best audio and Capcom's Onimusha: Way of the Sword for best gameplay.
