Report Claims GTA 6 PC Port Slated for Early 2027

A new report from GamesBeat, cited by multiple outlets including IGN and GameSpot, claims Rockstar Games plans to release Grand Theft Auto 6 on PC in the first quarter of 2027. According to the report, which cites anonymous sources, the PC launch would follow the console release by just a few months.

GTA 6 is currently only officially announced for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with a launch date set for November 19, 2026. There has been no official comment from Rockstar or its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, on PC plans.

Per IGN, the report suggests the PC version could arrive around the same time as the launch of GTA 6's multiplayer mode, which fans have been referring to as "GTA Online 2." The timeline would be a significant shift from Rockstar's past strategy, as games like GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 saw much longer delays before their PC releases.

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick has been historically vague about PC plans when questioned. In a 2024 statement reported by IGN, Zelnick said the company's approach is "to be where the consumer is" and to address players "on any platform that makes sense, over time." He noted that a lack of an announcement does not mean a release is "set in stone."
