Report: Sony developing new Ghostbusters Christmas movie titled Nightmare on 34th Street

Sony is reportedly working on a new live-action Ghostbusters film with a festive twist, per a report from Polygon citing Hollywood leaker Daniel Richtman.

The movie is allegedly titled "Ghostbusters: Nightmare on 34th Street." The title suggests it will be a Christmas film, playing on the classic holiday movie "Miracle on 34th Street."

According to the report, writer Josh Miller is attached to pen the script. Miller's past work includes the "Sonic the Hedgehog" films and the action-comedy "Violent Night."

The project is one of several Ghostbusters properties in development. Polygon's report also mentions an untitled sequel to "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire" being worked on by director Gil Kenan, an animated film set for Netflix, and an animated series called "Ghostbusters: Night Shift" from Flying Bark Productions slated for 2027 on Netflix.
