Resident Evil movie on track to become Zach Cregger's biggest hit

Director Zach Cregger is reportedly set to notch another box office victory, this time with his Resident Evil film. According to Deadline, the project is poised to become Cregger's highest-grossing movie ever.

The outlet reports that the film has already pulled in $247.6 million globally. It is expected to surpass Cregger's current top earner, the movie Weapons, by the end of this week or sooner.

Weapons grossed $270 million worldwide. The new Resident Evil film is projected to overtake that figure, making it the director's new biggest movie by revenue.
