Rideshare Studio CEO Says He 'Would Have Been Happy To Replace Writer With AI'

The CEO of Saber Interactive has denied that a former writer for the upcoming PS5 game Rideshare was replaced by ChatGPT. However, he added a major caveat, Kotaku reports.

In a statement, CEO Matt Karch said, 'I would frankly in retrospect have been happy to replace her with AI.' The controversy began when former Saber writer Stella Sacco posted on social media about the situation.

The driving sim, recently shown off, is now being heavily criticized for its alleged use of generative AI, according to Push Square. Karch also reportedly said a missing Steam disclosure about AI tools will be added to the game's page eventually.
