Ridley Scott and Hugh Jackman's Treasure Island Could Anchor at Sony
A new cinematic take on the classic pirate tale might have just found its home port. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a proposed film version of 'Treasure Island' from director Ridley Scott, starring Hugh Jackman, is currently in talks to land at Sony Pictures.
JoBlo reports the project would feature Jackman in the iconic role of the one-legged pirate, Long John Silver. The film is an adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's beloved novel.
If the deal goes through, it would reunite Scott with the studio behind some of his biggest hits. For now, it's all hands on deck as negotiations continue.
