Roblox faces US Senate investigation over child safety concerns
Roblox is now the official target of a congressional investigation. US Senators Josh Hawley and Dick Durbin announced the probe, claiming the massive gaming platform is a threat to child safety.
In an open letter, the senators accused Roblox of prioritizing revenue and engagement metrics over the well-being of kids, per GameSpot and Kotaku. They challenged the platform's promise of being a safe digital playground for children as young as five.
The company responded to the news, telling PC Gamer it looks forward to sharing the facts with the investigative committee.
