Rosario Dawson talks being cut from 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'

Fans hoping to see Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple in the new Spider-Man flick are out of luck. The actress confirmed she was cut from the upcoming 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day'.

Dawson told TheWrap she sees a silver lining, however. She said the cut at least confirms her character still exists somewhere in that cinematic universe.

Her character, also known as the Night Nurse, first appeared in Netflix's Marvel series. Her cameo was reportedly axed during the film's development.
