RuneScape: Dragonwilds hits Xbox Game Pass on day one next month
RuneScape: Dragonwilds will launch directly into Xbox Game Pass on its September release date, according to an announcement from developer Jagex reported by IGN.
The new game is a cooperative survival and crafting adventure set in a vast medieval world. It marks the first console entry and first standalone spinoff for the long-running RuneScape online franchise. Jagex stated the title has already surpassed one million sales during its early access period.
The full 1.0 launch is scheduled for September 15. This version will include a fresh content update called the Scorned Wilderness, plus all the material from the forthcoming Umbral Sands expansion. As previously revealed, the game will also be a day-one addition to the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium tiers on that same date.
A digital standard edition will be available for the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 15 as well. Physical standard and deluxe editions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X are planned for release in the fourth quarter of 2026.
