Russell Crowe's Unabomber thriller hits number one on Netflix
A new true crime thriller starring Russell Crowe and Jacob Tremblay has rocketed to the top of Netflix's streaming charts, per /Film. The film, titled "Unabomber," dramatizes the early life of Ted Kaczynski, played by Tremblay.
The story follows the young math prodigy as he becomes entangled in disturbing psychological experiments conducted by a professor played by Crowe. The narrative traces Kaczynski's descent into becoming the infamous domestic terrorist known as the Unabomber.
Separately, MovieWeb reports that Jon Bernthal's action sequel "The Accountant 2" continues to be a major draw on Hulu. The film, which sees Ben Affleck and Bernthal's characters reunite to investigate a murder linked to a human trafficking ring, has become a fixture in the streamer's top 10.
The sequel, which leans heavily into action, initially had a lukewarm box office run but has found a robust audience on streaming. At the time of the MovieWeb report, it was sitting at number seven on Hulu's charts.
