Sebastian Stan Did Not Confirm Harvey Dent Role After All
Sebastian Stan has not officially revealed his role in "The Batman: Part II." A French magazine, Le Journal du Dimanche, initially published a quote from Stan saying, "I play Harvey Dent" in the film, per JoBlo.
That report sent fan speculation into overdrive, but it was apparently a misprint. According to TheWrap, insiders say Stan was misquoted. The French outlet has since updated its online article with a corrected transcript of the interview.
The updated quote, provided by TheWrap, shows Stan said he "can't say anything about 'Matt Reeves' The Batman: Part II'" when asked about the project. The original claim that he confirmed playing Harvey Dent was an error.
Stan is attached to the sequel, which is scheduled for release on February 18, 2028. His character remains officially unannounced. Previous rumors had linked him to the role of Victor Zsasz.
Other cast members confirmed to return include Robert Pattinson as Batman, Colin Farrell, Andy Serkis, and Jeffrey Wright. Farrell has praised the sequel's script, calling it "a work of contemporary genre brilliance" and "really moving," according to JoBlo.
