Sebastian Stan Talks 'Challenging' Secret Role in The Batman: Part II

Sebastian Stan is playing coy about his part in The Batman: Part II, describing the gig as a major challenge. The Hollywood Reporter details his comments from a recent podcast interview.
"It's one of the most challenging situations I've been involved in," Stan said. He expressed hope that the ambitious project lands correctly, placing his faith in director Matt Reeves, whom he called "a genius of our time."
Rumors have swirled that Stan is playing District Attorney Harvey Dent, who later becomes Two-Face, but this is not confirmed. The actor acknowledged the speculation, saying he wanted to avoid fueling it.
Stan also explained how his move from Marvel to DC came about. He said he playfully prodded DC's James Gunn about finding a role, not seriously expecting it to happen. According to THR, Stan credits Reeves seeing his work in The Apprentice for sparking the real conversation.
Production in London has paused temporarily as Reeves deals with a personal family matter, per a studio statement. The film, starring Robert Pattinson and also featuring Scarlett Johansson, is scheduled for release on February 18, 2028.
