Shrek 2 Remastered Leaks via Xbox Store with 4K Facelift

A modern remaster of the 2004 game Shrek 2 has been revealed by a prematurely published Xbox store page, as reported by multiple outlets. The listing, which has since been taken down, showcased the upcoming release.

According to Kotaku, the remaster will offer visual improvements including higher resolution textures and a user interface overhaul for 4K displays. It will also introduce fresh gameplay options, such as the ability to take in-game pictures and a mode that allows players to tweak various game parameters.

GameSpot reports the title will preserve the original's local cooperative play for up to four people, while Kotaku adds that online multiplayer support will also be included. The game follows the plot of the 2004 animated film.

The leaked page did not provide a launch date. Push Square notes the original PS2 title remains a nostalgic favorite for many fans.
