Silent Hill: Townfall trailer quietly confirms six-month PS5 exclusivity window

Silent Hill: Townfall trailer quietly confirms six-month PS5 exclusivity window

A new Silent Hill: Townfall trailer has revealed a hefty chunk of gameplay and a key detail about its console availability. According to Eurogamer, the 18-minute footage follows protagonist Simon Ordell exploring the foggy Scottish island of St. Amelia, scavenging in homes and encountering horrors.

The real news was tucked in the fine print. The trailer confirmed the game is a PlayStation 5 console exclusive but added it will be unavailable on other consoles until at least six months after its release date. This strongly suggests a potential arrival on rival platforms like Xbox and Nintendo's next system by March 2027.

The game is developed by Screen Burn Interactive, formerly No Code, with Konami and Annapurna Interactive handling publishing. It marks the first mainline series entry to be fully in first-person.

Silent Hill: Townfall is scheduled to launch on September 24 for PC and PS5. The report notes the game's producer has emphasized a focus on psychological horror narratives while allowing for experimental gameplay across the revived franchise's projects.
