Sold Out Zelda Switch 2 Edition and Accessories Launch This Month

Nintendo's special Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Switch 2 console and matching controllers are launching October 29, per Polygon. The black, gold, and green hardware features triangle designs and the Hylian Crest.

The console, priced at $519.99, is already sold out on pre-orders. The themed Pro Controller, offered in a Nintendo-exclusive version with a Hyrule Castle display stand for $109.99 and a standard version for $99.99, is also unavailable. A Zelda carrying case and screen protector bundle for $39.99 is sold out as well.

Polygon reports the console will include specially designed controllers in the box. The themed hardware launches a week before the Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on November 5.

The article notes this release coincides with a broader price increase for the Switch 2, now up to $499.99, which Nintendo attributes to an AI-driven component shortage.
