Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Slashes Base Price and Reveals Huge Year Two DLC Wave

Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is getting a massive second-year update and a permanent price cut, per a report from Push Square. The game's Year Two content kicks off on November 3.

The outlet details a flood of new content. It includes free additions like two new Sega-related characters joining the previously announced Bayonetta, plus a new competitive 1v1 race mode called Duel Match. This mode lets players see their opponent's items, active gadgets, and distance.

Push Square also reports the update will add 15 new gadgets and introduce a top-tier ranking plate that unlocks an extra slot for equipping them. A slate of premium downloadable content packs is also planned for the year.

In a separate move, Sega has permanently lowered the game's price. On the PlayStation Store, the base game now costs $39.99, down from $69.99. The original Digital Deluxe edition price has also been cut. A new physical Year One Edition, bundling the base game with all first-year DLC, arrives on November 3.
