The discovery was flagged by fan site Sonic Stadium, which found the information in the Entertainment Identifier Registry. The site, known for cataloging media projects, listed a runtime for the forthcoming sequel.

According to the report, the registry entry suggests the movie will run for approximately two hours. This would make it the longest installment in the live-action film series to date if the listing proves accurate.
