Spider-Man 2 sees massive sales spike thanks to new movie

The box office success of the new Spider-Man movie is sending fans right back to the video game.

According to IGN, the phenomenon of 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' has sparked a surge of interest in Sony's 'Marvel's Spider-Man 2'. Players are flocking to reinstall or buy the 2023 title anew.

GameSpot reports the numbers are huge. New data from Alinea Analytics estimates another 316,000 copies of the game have been sold on PS5 and PC since the film's release, generating around $11 million. That makes it the game's biggest sales boost in years.
