Spider-Man Clone Saga TV Series in Development at Prime Video

Amazon's Prime Video is reportedly close to ordering a new Spider-Man TV series based on the famous Clone Saga comic storyline. The news, first reported by Deadline and covered by outlets including /Film and TVLine, follows the recent cancellation of the streamer's 'Spider-Noir' series after one season.

The series would focus on the characters Ben Reilly and Kaine Parker, who are both clones of Peter Parker in the Marvel comics. According to /Film, the show could follow the two grappling with their identities as clones, though some sources suggest the adaptation may make significant changes to their origins.

Kelvin Yu is attached to write the project, per TVLine. The show's executive producers are expected to include Amy Pascal, Phil Lord, and Christopher Miller, who were behind 'Spider-Noir'.

If ordered, the untitled series is expected to debut on Amazon's MGM+ platform in addition to streaming on Prime Video. This marks Sony Pictures Television's latest attempt to develop a live-action Spider-Man universe show for the streamer.
