Stellar Blade: Complete Edition Switch 2 Port Detailed With New Gameplay
IGN reports that Stellar Blade: Complete Edition is officially headed to the Nintendo Switch 2 next year. To mark the announcement, the outlet shared over five minutes of new gameplay footage from the port.
In an interview with IGN, Shift Up CTO Dong-ki Lee confirmed the package will include all post-launch content from the original PlayStation 5 release. This encompasses two DLC expansions, extra costumes, and various seasonal updates, all bundled together.
A key technical focus was adapting the game's signature haptic feedback for the Switch 2's HD Rumble. Lee told IGN the team didn't simply recreate the effect, but converted the exact data from the PS5 version to preserve an identical tactile experience. The port will also support touchscreen controls, gyro aiming, and mouse input.
Lee explained that optimizing the game for the new hardware required significant work on memory management and adjusting internal systems. He suggested this process has prepared the studio for future multi-platform projects, though he did not confirm if upcoming titles like Stellar Blade: Blood Rain would remain exclusive.
While the core content is the same as on other platforms, Lee teased that there might be an additional surprise for the Switch 2 release, stating details have not yet been revealed. He also shared that a certain open-air adventure from Nintendo famously inspired his own shift into console game development.
