Stephen King gives a ringing endorsement to Shudder horror film The Cycle
Horror maestro Stephen King is already hyping an upcoming Shudder film, per /Film. On Bluesky, King flagged "The Cycle," a new movie from "The Head Hunter" filmmakers Jordan Downey and Kevin Stewart, calling it a must-watch for October.
King noted he rarely promotes other people's horror projects but made an exception, urging fans to mark their calendars for this one. The film stars Deborah Ann Woll, known for "True Blood" and the MCU.
In the movie, Woll's character investigates her father's disturbing past after his corpse is discovered 36 years after he vanished. The trailer promises the filmmakers' signature gritty, practical horror effects.
The film is set to premiere on the Shudder streaming service on October 23, 2026. The outlet notes Shudder's role in providing a platform for such niche horror projects.
