Streamer N3on celebrates apparent GTA 6 cameo after Netflix gameplay debut
The GTA 6 Netflix showcase didn't just feature wild car chases. It also included a side mission where a fictional streamer pops out of a stolen car's trunk. Per IGN, fans immediately saw a resemblance to real-life Kick streamer N3on.
The streamer himself addressed the speculation on a live broadcast, celebrating the attention. "We f**kin' did it!" N3on said, thanking his audience for making the theory plausible. While he didn't confirm he was the inspiration, he called the idea "sick" and a sign streaming is "taking over the game."
Other top creators had strong reactions to the in-game moment. IShowSpeed asked his chat, "Wait, they got streamers in the game?" Kai Cenat was caught on video shouting, "Is that a streamer?" Jynxzi remarked on the character being an "IRL streamer."
N3on later recreated the GTA 6 scene beat-for-beat during his own stream, a clip that went viral. The cameo was one of many real-world parallels spotted in the extended gameplay look.
In a separate report, IGN notes the Netflix premiere was Rockstar's idea. A PR rep told Kinda Funny Games, "We wanted to go to Netflix." Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick called the move "an example of Rockstar trying new things" with marketing.
