Superman movie leads Critics Choice Super Awards with six nominations

James Gunn's Superman is dominating the awards season for genre films. According to Variety, the DC Studios tentpole scored a leading six nominations for the sixth annual Critics Choice Super Awards.

The Critics Choice Association's awards honor popular, fan-favorite corners of film and television, covering superhero, sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and action. The Superman reboot is in the running for best superhero movie.

In the horror categories, the films Obsession and Weapons topped the list of nominees, per the outlet's report.
