Surprise It: Welcome to Derry Episode Features Fan-Favorite King Character

A surprise episode of the upcoming Max series It: Welcome to Derry has dropped, and per JoBlo, it brings a long-awaited character into the mix.

The outlet reports the episode provides a bit more history on the terrifying clown Pennywise. The plot dives deeper into the lore of the town of Derry.

More importantly, the episode marks the first major appearance of a fan-favorite character from Stephen King's universe. While JoBlo's review doesn't name the character specifically, it describes them as a "cool" addition to the Derry story.

The surprise release serves as a teaser for the full series, which will act as a prequel to the recent It films. The episode is now available to watch.
