Taylor Swift crashes Dakota Johnson's 'SNL' monologue as 'literal therapist'
Taylor Swift made a surprise cameo on Saturday Night Live, appearing during host Dakota Johnson's opening monologue. Per Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, the pop star was introduced by Johnson as her "literal therapist."
In the bit, Johnson joked about having "two very public, very lame breakups" since her last SNL appearance. She then brought out Swift, claiming the singer was her supportive, non-judgmental friend. Swift, however, played along by correcting her, saying Johnson just shows up at her house with an empty wine bottle to overshare.
The Hollywood Reporter notes that Johnson closed her monologue with a nod to Swift's personal life. She joked she was doing a "public service" by dating musicians, adding "you're welcome, America! And also England and parts of Ireland and Cleveland, allegedly." Swift cheered at the mention of Cleveland, a reference to her song about husband Travis Kelce.
Johnson also addressed the box office performance of her film Madame Web during the monologue, joking she was still promoting it because "the movie hasn't made any money yet."
