Ted Lasso Season 4 Finale Wraps Zelda Plot, Sends Roy to Chelsea

Per The Hollywood Reporter, the season four finale of Ted Lasso wrapped several major storylines while leaving others wide open for a potential season five.
The episode opened with a funeral for beloved pub owner Mae. In a heavy moment, Ted is forced to tell his son the truth about his father's suicide, a conversation the show keeps off-screen.
Roy Kent, meanwhile, accepted a dream job as Chelsea's head coach, but vowed to finish Richmond's season first. In an emotional scene, he revealed Keeley is pregnant and shared his fears about fatherhood. He later found a note from Ted assuring him he'd be a great dad.
The season-long takeover plot involving Zelda was resolved. Rebecca and Higgins thwarted her shareholder scheme, and a tie-breaking two percent stake from the late Mae secured Rebecca's control of the club.
In a surprise twist, Alice was promoted to head coach of the Lady Greyhounds after Ted asked to be demoted to assistant manager. The finale also saw Rebecca propose to her boyfriend Matthijs.
As of the finale's release, Apple had not yet confirmed a fifth season renewal for the series.
