Tencent's GTA rival Last Sentinel faces layoffs and creative shift
Tencent’s big-budget cyberpunk open-world game, Last Sentinel, has hit a major speed bump. The project's developer, Lightspeed LA, is laying off around 80 employees, according to PC Gamer.
The studio says it will now "shift the creative and development direction" of the title, which has been positioned as a rival to the Grand Theft Auto series. This major internal shakeup suggests the game's future is far from certain.
