The Blood of Dawnwalker sells one million copies in its first 48 hours
The Blood of Dawnwalker has already hit a major sales milestone. According to IGN, the new single-player role-playing game sold one million copies within just two days of its release on September 3.
Publisher Bandai Namco and developer Rebel Wolves announced the news. The game is available on computers, PS5, and the latest Xbox consoles.
This marks a significant debut for the studio, Rebel Wolves, which was founded in 2022. The game is a fresh intellectual property led by Konrad Tomaszkiewicz, known for his work on The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077.
IGN reports the game is a fantasy action RPG with a medieval European setting. Players control a character named Coen, who lives as a human during daylight hours and transforms into a vampire at night.
The story unfolds over a 30-day period within the game. Developer comments shared by IGN indicate the studio has plans to expand this new franchise with future installments set across different time periods and locations.
