'The Gentlemen' Season 3 Renewed as Meghan Markle Casting Rumors Swirl
Netflix has confirmed 'The Gentlemen' will return for a third season, per The Hollywood Reporter. The renewal arrives alongside a fresh trailer for the show's second season and persistent gossip about the Duchess of Sussex.
According to the report, author Tina Brown stated Meghan Markle was being considered for a major role in season three but was later dropped due to significant backlash in the UK. Brown stands by this claim, though representatives for Markle and series creator Guy Ritchie did not comment.
The streamer also announced several other returning series. New seasons are coming for the Dublin-based drama 'House of Guinness', the Steve Coogan-starring series 'Legends' from Neil Forsyth, the culinary show 'Being Gordon Ramsay', and the long-running sports docuseries 'Formula 1: Drive to Survive'.
Ritchie, who serves as creator, writer, director, and executive producer, said the show's ambition has grown and a third season felt inevitable. He expressed a desire to push the series' boundaries further.
Additional renewals mentioned include more 'Love Is Blind UK', 'The Rest Is Football', 'Black Doves', 'At Home With the Furys', 'Black Mirror', and 'Supacell'.
