‘The Gentlemen’ Secures Season 3 Renewal as Season 2 Trailer Arrives
Netflix is doubling down on its aristocratic crime series. Variety reports that "The Gentlemen" has been officially greenlit for a third season, with creator Guy Ritchie returning to direct and co-write. The new season will consist of eight episodes and is in pre-production, though no scripts or new casting have been finalized yet, per the outlet.
Ritchie told Variety that the show's ambition has accelerated. "A third season felt inevitable, and I'm looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further," he said.
The renewal news comes alongside the release of the first full-length trailer for Season 2, which is set to launch on September 3. TVLine confirms the sophomore season will also be eight episodes long.
The Season 2 trailer shows Eddie Horniman (Theo James) and Susie Glass (Kaya Scodelario) expanding their business to Italy. Eddie's ambitions grow, with Giancarlo Esposito's character telling him he is "destined to rule." Hugh Bonneville joins the cast as a new aristocrat, while Ray Winstone, Vinnie Jones, and Joely Richardson return.
New cast members for Season 2 include Benjamin Clementine, Benedetta Porcaroli, boxer Chris Eubank Jr., and TV host Maya Jama. The show is a production of Moonage Pictures for Netflix and Miramax TV.
