The Outlast Trials Breaks Launch Record with Over 120K Concurrent Players

The co-op survival horror game The Outlast Trials has just shattered its all-time player count record, according to GameSpot.

Red Barrels' latest entry into the Outlast series peaked at over 120,000 concurrent players on Steam. This surge happened three years after the game first debuted.

The new milestone is a massive leap from its previous high. Per the report, the game's previous record was set during its Early Access launch in 2023, when it reached roughly 36,000 concurrent players.

The new count is more than four times greater than that previous best, marking a huge resurgence for the indie title.
