Hope for a Hit & Run comeback is officially alive and well. According to a report from IGN, series creator Matt Groening said the beloved 2003 game 'is coming back in some form.' He made the comment during a D23 panel this week, per Kotaku.
The moment was reportedly brief, as VGC notes Groening was quickly interrupted by showrunner Matt Selman. Fans have long clamored for a remaster, with Nintendo Life reporting that a 'corporate octopus' has previously stood in the way.
While not an official announcement, the comment from the show's creator is the most concrete tease yet that something is in the works. As Polygon puts it, the future seems positive for fans of the GTA-like title.
