The Traitors: New Blood premiere viewership soars past 6 million
The two-episode premiere of *The Traitors: New Blood* has pulled in over six million viewers, according to The Hollywood Reporter. That figure comes after adding in three days of streaming data.
The initial NBC airings for the non-celebrity version of the show were modest. Its first episode attracted 2.58 million viewers on September 17, while the follow-up episode saw a decline in its live audience.
Delayed viewing on Peacock, along with network repeats, provided a massive boost. Per NBCUniversal, each episode's total viewership climbed to over six million when combining all platforms. This represents a 61% increase for the first episode and more than a doubling for the second.
The report states the three-day totals set a new record for an NBC or Bravo series on Peacock. The six million average also makes it the network's largest unscripted series premiere in six years.
Peacock is the streaming home for the original celebrity edition of *The Traitors*, which likely helped drive viewers to the new spin-off. Studio Lambert produces the series, which is executive produced by host Alan Cumming.
