Tom Cruise causes the apocalypse he has to fix in new Digger trailer

Tom Cruise is back to his old world-saving tricks, but this time he's the one who broke it. That's the gist of the new trailer for Alejandro G. Iñárritu's upcoming comedy, Digger, according to reports from /Film and JoBlo.

Cruise appears buried under prosthetics in the footage, playing a character whose actions lead to global collapse. The only logical next step? Having the same guy try to fix the mess he created.

The project marks a notable shift for Iñárritu, the Oscar-winning director known for heavy dramas, who is now venturing into comedic territory with a major star. It's a mission: improbable for Cruise, and highly anticipated for audiences.
