Tom Hardy locked for MobLand Season 3 after behind-the-scenes truce
Paramount+ has officially renewed its crime drama MobLand for a third season, per TVLine. The streamer also confirmed that Tom Hardy will be back.
Hardy will return to play the fixer Harry Da Souza. He'll be joined again by Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren as the heads of the Harrigan crime family.
The renewal arrives just ahead of the Season 2 premiere on September 18. The new season will see the family battling rivals while dealing with internal strife, according to an official description.
Variety reports that Hardy's participation was in doubt earlier this year. Sources said he had clashed with producers Jez Butterworth and David Glasser over the show's direction, including a larger focus on other characters.
TVLine notes that by late June, those issues were resolved. Hardy reportedly met with the producers in London, with executive producer Guy Ritchie helping broker a peace.
