Troy Baker Says Intergalactic Is Testing the Limits of Naughty Dog

Actor Troy Baker has teased that the upcoming game Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is "testing the bounds" of what developer Naughty Dog can do. Per IGN, Baker told fans during a panel at Ottawa Comiccon that they are going to have their "minds blown."

The Last of Us actor, who also appears in the new sci-fi title, said, "You are not ready. It's so good." He covered his mouth and closed his eyes while making the remarks.

Baker noted that performance capture for the new IP has wrapped. He specifically praised star Tati Gabrielle's work as the main character, Jordan A. Mun, calling her a "spiritual successor" and comparing her casting to Ashley Johnson's role as Ellie in The Last of Us.

"I feel Uncharted, I feel The Last of Us, I feel something new," Baker said of the project. "They are testing the bounds of what that studio is capable of."

Details about the game remain scarce since its reveal at The Game Awards 2024. Director Neil Druckmann has previously called it "incredible" and the studio's "most ambitious game" to date.

While there is no official release date, IGN notes that performance capture wrapped recently. Rumors have suggested a possible 2027 launch window.
