Two Decades Later, the Worst Sopranos Game Stinks Even Worse

ScreenRant looks back at a game spinoff of the hit HBO drama and finds it hasn't gotten any better with age. Per the outlet, 2006's 'The Sopranos: Road to Respect' was a critical flop upon release, roasted for repetitive combat, technical issues, and a short length.
The game followed Joey LaRocca, an original character presented as the son of Salvatore 'Big Pussy' Bonpensiero, as he tried to become a made man. Tony Soprano and other show characters appeared, voiced by many original actors.
ScreenRant argues the game stripped away the TV show's psychological depth and moral complexity, reducing it to a generic gangster brawler. With the prestige of the original series now even more established over time, the outlet says this disconnect is now more glaring.
According to ScreenRant, the game stands as the lowest-rated major release in the Sopranos franchise, far below even the divisive prequel film.
