Ubisoft Pulls The Plug On Rainbow Six Mobile Less Than A Year After Launch

Rainbow Six Mobile is getting shut down, according to an announcement from Ubisoft. Per GameSpot and Polygon, the free-to-play mobile spinoff will be sunset on January E5, 2027, less than a year after its official global launch in February 2026.
The publisher made the announcement on the game's official website. "There’s no easy way to put it: we have made the difficult decision to sunset Rainbow Six Mobile," Ubisoft said. The game will remain playable until the January shutdown, and its next season will release as scheduled.
Rainbow Six Mobile first entered a beta phase in September 2022, as reported by Polygon. It was designed to bring a version of the core tactical gameplay of Rainbow Six Siege to Android and iOS devices, with controls and interfaces rebuilt specifically for touchscreens.
Ubisoft stated that the developers working on the mobile title will now "move on to other long-term strategic projects." The mainline Rainbow Six Siege, which launched in 2015, continues to be a popular title on PC and consoles.
Players who have invested in the mobile game have a few months left before the servers go dark permanently.
