Vijay's Long-Delayed 'Jana Nayagan' Finally Gets New Release Date

Fans can finally mark their calendars for Vijay's final film. The Indian actor-politician's long-delayed Tamil movie 'Jana Nayagan' now has a confirmed worldwide release date of July 23, as announced by KVN Productions.

The project, which was originally slated to launch on January 9, was hit by a double whammy of delays. According to Variety, the film was held up by a protracted dispute with India's Central Board of Film Certification and a separate piracy breach.

This new date sets the stage for the cinematic swan song of the popular star to finally hit the big screen after a six-month wait.
