Vin Diesel Hints He May Direct the Final 'Fast & Furious' Movie
Vin Diesel is teasing a major shift behind the camera for the franchise's final lap. According to a report from MovieWeb, the longtime star of the series posted a cryptic photo hinting he might direct the twelfth and final film, currently titled 'Fast Forever.'
Diesel shared a black-and-white image of his iconic 1970 Dodge Charger R/T on social media. His caption read simply, "Director... Hmmm...," suggesting he's considering pulling double duty as both the lead star and the director.
This would mark a significant change, as previous reports had indicated that Louis Leterrier, who directed 'Fast X,' was set to return for the finale. If Diesel takes the helm, it would be only his second feature film directing credit, following the 1997 movie 'Strays.'
Per MovieWeb, Diesel previously confirmed that filming for 'Fast Forever' is scheduled to begin in December 2026. The movie is currently slated for a theatrical release on March 17, 2027. No official confirmation on the director has been made.
