Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 unleashes huge free update and year three roadmap

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 just got a huge injection of fresh content. Per Push Square, publisher Focus Entertainment has deployed a major free update for the co-op shooter alongside a roadmap stretching into next year.
The new Chaos Siege mode lets players take control of Chaos Space Marines, battling Tyranids, Cadians, and loyalist Space Marines across two fresh sectors. A new Crucible system also debuts, allowing players to equip challenging Penances for greater rewards.
A highly requested One-Handed Hammer is now available for several classes, and the Armoury has been stocked with three new heroic weapon variants. The Tactical class has also received a perk overhaul for more flexible customization.
Focus Entertainment also laid out plans for the game's third year. Season Pass III holders will get two cosmetic packs soon, with more coming later. Looking ahead, 2027 will see the free addition of a new Apothecary class, alongside new weapons and operations.
The publisher's continued support signals plenty of life left in the grimdark shooter.
