Wednesday Season 3 reveals first look and major new cast additions

Netflix has dropped a new look at the upcoming third season of its hit series Wednesday, per MovieWeb. The image shows Jenna Ortega's titular character typing on a typewriter.

The streamer also confirmed a slate of new cast members joining the show. Eva Green will play the mysterious Aunt Ophelia, telling Netflix's Tudum she is "thrilled to join the woefully twisted world of Wednesday." New additions also include Lena Headey, Andrew McCarthy, and James Lance.

They join previously announced new faces like Winona Ryder and Oscar Morgan. Production on the season has wrapped, with much of the filming again taking place in Dublin.

Co-creator Alfred Gough stated the team's aim is simply to deliver the highest quality season they can. While no release date is set, MovieWeb notes that based on the previous season's timeline, a debut could potentially arrive by mid-to-late 2027.
