Will Estes Joins 'Boston Blue' Season 2 as a Guest Star
The Reagan family reunion is expanding on CBS. According to a report from Collider, Will Estes is set to guest star in the upcoming second season of 'Boston Blue,' the network's spin-off from 'Blue Bloods.'
Estes will reprise his role as Jamie Reagan, marking his first appearance in the new series. The character is the brother of series lead Danny Reagan, played by Donnie Wahlberg, who initially shared the news.
The show centers on Danny's life after he leaves the NYPD and relocates to Boston. There, he mentors his son, Sean, a rookie with the Boston Police Department, and becomes entangled with a local family of law enforcement figures, the Silvers.
Other 'Blue Bloods' veterans have already popped up in the spin-off. Bridget Moynahan and Len Cariou have made guest appearances as Erin and Henry Reagan, respectively.
Collider suggests Estes's arrival will help solidify the connective tissue between the two CBS dramas. It also provides a chance for viewers to catch up with Jamie, who became a father between the end of the original series and the start of this one.
