Wolverine claws its way into US player charts as a solo act

Marvel's Wolverine might be a one-player story, but it's getting a lot of playtime. According to Push Square, the PS5 exclusive landed at number seven on Circana's US player engagement chart for the week ending September 19. That tracker ranks games by how many active users they have weekly.
Insomniac's new title was reportedly the solitary single-player experience to crack the top ten, a list typically dominated by online multiplayer giants. Analyst Mat Piscatella noted that the average US player spent about 14.2 hours with the game during that launch week.
Those numbers hint at a solid stateside launch. Push Square mentions it has seen estimates suggesting the game has sold roughly three million copies so far. Sony has not officially commented on the title's performance yet.
As a narrative-driven game, its time on the weekly charts is likely to be brief. But for one week, at least, Wolverine proved a solo adventure can still draw a crowd.
