Wolverine's new claws look painful, his classic suit looks silly
A new trailer for Marvel's Wolverine shows off some vicious new gear for Logan, including a set of claws that look especially painful to deploy. According to GameSpot, the trailer highlights several pre-order bonus costumes and alternate claw designs. One claw variant is serrated, which the outlet notes must 'hurt like the devil' when they pop out.
The trailer also shows other claw types, including a set with pierced fullers and another that tapers into an arrowhead shape. As for suits, the video features outfits like the leather look from Grant Morrison's New X-Men comics, a modernized Age of Apocalypse design, and an original 'Savage' suit by artist Adam Kubert.
However, not everyone is impressed with all the cosmetic options. Push Square took specific aim at the 'Incredible Suit,' which is inspired by Wolverine's first comic appearance. The outlet's editor called the classic mask 'so dang goofy' and said it looks 'ridiculous' in Insomniac's game engine.
The Digital Deluxe Edition includes five exclusive suits and five claw types. Push Square reports that many players are opting for that edition, though its contents can be purchased separately later. The game is set to launch on September 15, alongside limited-edition PS5 hardware.
