Xolo Maridueña's Blue Beetle confirmed for James Gunn's Superman sequel
Looks like Blue Beetle is getting a second lease on life in James Gunn's new DC universe. TheWrap reports that Xolo Maridueña will reprise his role as Jaime Reyes in the upcoming Superman sequel, "Man of Tomorrow."
According to the outlet, the film will serve as the character's official reintroduction. This follows earlier ScreenRant confirmation that one of the last DCEU heroes would make the jump to Gunn's DCU.
It's a smart move to keep Maridueña, whose solo film was a bright spot in the old regime's final days. Now we just have to wait to see what kind of dynamic Blue Beetle and the new Man of Steel will have.
