Yeon Sang-ho returns to 'Parasyte' for Netflix series 'Tamiya' with Shioli Kutsuna
The 'Parasyte' universe is getting another live-action series from Netflix. According to reports from Variety and The Hollywood Reporter, director Yeon Sang-ho is behind 'Parasyte: Tamiya,' set to debut on the streamer in 2027.
This marks another team-up for Netflix and Yeon, who previously created 'Parasyte: The Grey.' The director developed the new series and co-wrote the script with Ryu Yong-jae.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, the series will star Japanese actress Shioli Kutsuna. She is set to play Ryoko Tamiya, the fan-favorite parasite character from the original manga who is described as a mix of human and monster.
