Zack Snyder's 'The Last Photograph' Trailer Reveals Jungle Thriller Ahead of TIFF Premiere
Zack Snyder has dropped the official trailer for his long-gestating passion project, "The Last Photograph." Collider reports the film follows a former DEA agent, played by Stuart Martin, who searches South American mountains for his missing niece and nephew after their parents are murdered. His only ally is a burned-out war photographer who saw the killers.
The trailer promises a gritty, violent journey into the jungle where reality blurs. Snyder, who conceived the story himself, describes the project as a meditation on life and death. According to Variety, the film will have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 13, 2026.
The project has been in Snyder's mind since the mid-2000s and once had Christian Bale and Sean Penn attached. It now stars Snyder regulars Stuart Martin and Fra Fee, with a score by Hans Zimmer. As reported by MovieWeb, Snyder called the chance to make a more intimate movie "very appealing."
Separately, HBO unveiled updated, more minimalistic crests for the four Hogwarts houses for its upcoming "Harry Potter" series. The new designs were shown at a promotional event in Australia, per MovieWeb.
