Zendaya signs on for untitled Alex Garland sci-fi film at A24

Zendaya is set to lead a new untitled science fiction movie from director Alex Garland at A24, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Garland will both write and direct the film for the studio, per the report. Few plot details are known, but the project is reportedly scheduled to begin shooting in 2027.

This marks another team-up for the actress and the indie studio. She previously starred in this year's A24 feature *The Drama* and her hit HBO show *Euphoria* was also produced by the company.

JoBlo also reported on the casting, noting it adds to Zendaya's packed upcoming slate. She will soon be seen returning as Chani in *Dune: Part Three*, which hits theaters this December.

Other future projects for Zendaya include a Ronnie Spector biopic directed by Barry Jenkins for A24 and a voice role in DreamWorks Animation's *Shrek 5*.
