When convicted murderer Max Cady is released from prison, he begins infiltrating the family of the married attorneys who helped put him behind bars.

The new Cape Fear series is a mixed bag, people are split, and it's mostly carried by the performances. Javier Bardem's Max Cady is the highlight, and Amy Adams does solid work as Anna, but the story is the weak link: at a 42, it's where the show loses a lot of people. Patrick Wilson's Tom Bowden doesn't land as well, and the character of Max Cady himself gets mixed reactions. The visuals and humor score high, but the pacing feels uneven to some. If you're in it for the cast and the unnerving vibe, it's worth a look, just don't expect the plot to hold up.
Scored only from posts that clearly name a season. Seasons without enough of that conversation yet aren’t shown.
The trend appears once there are a couple of scoring runs to compare.
How much people are talking about this show: reactions counted per day they were posted. Gold dots mark days a new episode aired.
We show volume and platform mix, not posts. No comment text is stored or displayed. Every figure above is analysis output from public posts and reviews.
